This may be basic to a lot of you, but does my VIN tell me the original exterior and interior color of my vehicle. Better yet, could someone tell me if there are any resources out there on how to interpret my VIN?

Hi Ron,

The interior/exterior codes should be on a plate riveted to the body by the drivers door upper hinge. If that plate is missing I don't think you can get that info out of the full VIN according to what I found in my Chilton's repair manual.

And if I remember correctly all the exterior paint and interior color codes are listed on the C3 Statistics pages found on the Tools tab.
