A while back, we talked some about neat garages, I'm in the process of re-doing my front garage (The shop is out back). Does any body know where I can get some good ideas for finishing it? I'm thinking old gas station logos, emblems, I'd kill for an old gas pump! Ideas for a floor finish? A huge Crossed Flags stencil?

There is one thing that is on my list of things to do. I would love to redo my garage one of these days. I would like to have one wall that is all cabinets with a full length work top on the bottom row of cabinets. Flourescent lighting under the top row of cabinets. I think I would also like the checkerboard floor of some kind. I also have this great banner from BFGoodrich with the blue 69 vette that I want to hang on one wall.
Those are some of my ideas I have for my garage when I get around to it.

Thank you kind sir. It has not always been so nice though. Lots of work out in my cramped two car garage. More junk out there than needs to be. Need to have a huge garage sell. Even have a few corvette parts stashed in the way.

My dream would be to have a well lit 3 car detached garage in addition to my attaced 2 car. That way I could get more stuff I think I need. Maybe one of these days when I hit the lottery. |laugh|

I recently finished out my 2 car garage; one side is a working wood shop with everything out of site, other side for the car. I painted all the walls chevy orange, or longhorn orange depending on who’s in the garage. I glued marine carpet on the floor and chevy & vette tin signs on walls, It turned out pretty nice.

Now that I bought a C5, I’m in the process of building a wood shop out back to reclaim the other side of garage back. A buddy from work blew up a C3 & C5 emblems to poster size, I’m going to trace them on each side of the garage walls and paint them on.

My wood shop will be about 150’ from the garage, when running underground electricity to it; does anyone see a reason why I cannot put in a separate conduit to run an air line off of my compressor back to the garage?

I just did that, I used schedule 80 conduit for my underground air line..

make sure to install a canister on the distribution point inside to catch condensation.

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!
And be sure not to go too small. Otherwise a pressure drop will occour as air is used. It will start off strong, the fade, and start strong again when restarted. For that long of a run I would use at least 3/4 pipe. You can go back to 1/2 on either end.
On the "Tail of the Dragon"
(some day, no strike that, October 2008 it turned red, still in progress!)
