Found an all original '69 Tri Power coupe. Owner still has the six pack. But has a 454 in it now. Original 427 lost. How much is it worth? Looks like an 8 out of 10 cosmetically.

I would say $15,000 to $20,000 range. The question is, how do you know its really a 435hp coupe? Check the tach. Should red line at 6500 rpm. The intake manifold should have a casting number of 3937797. The heads should be casting number 3919840. A true 435hp car did not come with air conditioning, so if it has air, it can't be a 435hp. Could be a 400hp tripower though. Also it was mandatory that a 435hp car had tranisitorized ignition. Check for evidence of the amp bolted to the left front wheel area. There would be three holes. The coil should be part number 1115263 and the distributor should have a metal band around it with part number 1111928. Also, check to see if it has a rear sway bar, as they were on all 435hp cars. I know you only wanted a price, but you also need to verify what your are getting. Without the original block the car should not bring more than $20,000 in my opinion. At least, I wouldn't pay more. It also depends if the car has the ignition, proper heads, etc. But if not, closer to $15,000.

There were no cars that had a redline on the tach start at 5800. My guess it starts at 5600, therefore the car would be a 400 hp tripower and not the 435hp. There were less 400 hp than 435's but the 435's still bring more money. I would think the car is worth $15,000 and maybe go up to $17,000, but without the original engine block I would not go any higher.

I have no idea what 465LDT stands for.
