trying to find a 79 vette

Hey guys this is my first post here I'm looking for my dads old corvette. I want to buy it back and give it to him and my mom as a anniversary present but I'm having a hard time locating it the vin # is 1Z8789S434228 it was originally yellow but he said thee guy he sold it to painted it back or purple or something inatavin says it's in Ohio still where he owned it but no info on the owners name or contact info any help would be much appreciated
