trouble code plug in

does anyone know where the plug in for finding trouble codes are on my 81? I am still having problems.

If the connector isn't under the dash, then it's probably in the center console, under the ashtray, like the '82 models.
Not sure what all you'll be able to get tho....the '81 really doesn't have much computer action...just idle mixture, and timing...

Vette(s): 1981 Great White Shark. Red Interior, 350/190 hp. PS, PB (SS), A/C CC, T-Tops. Served three years in Active Duty Army, then Retired Air Force after 34 years! Badger State Vettes Car Club. 175,000 Original miles!! Now own a 1998 C-5!
The 81 has no connector.  You just look at the flashing lights.  That will give you the number of the trouble code!!  Flashing 4 times, then once means a code of 41!

Oh, yes that connector!!!  It is under the ash tray in the center console.
