JOEL.....

Where did you get this BIRTHDAY book.... ??????

I can find the last Vin produced in any month from 1961 thru 1972 model years BUT I can not find
this info for any other model years....

I assume your birthday book has this info.... and My Bookshelf would like a copy of that book...

Knowing they prduced X number of  corvettes in August  and looking at the calander you can determine how many days they actually worked so you can come darn close to figuring out when car #xxx903 was actually made...

I just can not find the figures for after 1972....

Vette(s): '78 Silver Anniversary T Top coupe,58k orig miles. THM350 auto, 350 L48, JBM headers,Oyster White interior,.as of Nov '15 in process of painting.
Thanks for the info..My 78 Silver Anniversary has the B07 stamping on the metal tag upper driver's side body door jamb.
That puts the build date as October 1977.
Car was invoiced to the Oregon dealer in March 3rd of 1978, delivered March 10th..
The dealer is Guaranty Chevrolet, a family owned dealership which is still in business in Junction City Oregon.
Much of the small fun stuff about the old Corvettes is their histories..:)Jim

From an October build date to March delivery date to the dealer is a looong time. Silver Anny cars were quite popular, too, so I wonder what happened? Is it possible another dealer took original delivery, it sat on the showroom floor for a while, then they assigned it to the other dealer? THings that make ya go....hmmmmmm...Ermm

On the L-88 on ebay, the general consensus amongst the eggsperts is that it is NOT original, or it has been "massaged"....too many discrepancies.

Adam,
Hard to tell about your "what if."on the lag between final assembly at the St Louis plant in October to the delivery to the Oregon dealer in Mrach 1978..
I can't recall what the weather was like in the 1977-winter..:) or early 1978..:)

My car has the Gymkhana  suspension package..which from what I can tell denotes fewer than 13,000 of my particular Silver Anniversary corvette were made ..It has the L48 engine and automatic THM350 tranny.
Less than 13,000 cars doesn't seem like very many when one considers all the GM dealers operating back then..Jim
