Put about 1200 miles on the trailer last year, going forward, and about 30' in reverse  LOL

Practice backing up in an empty parking lot & back both rt & left. You never know when you'll need to do it for real & that''s not the time to learn. Take a small piece of wood  2X6X1' so if yiou have to disconnect the trailer you won't leave a hole in the parking lot. Buy a trailer wheel lock & use it at nite. Make sure the traiter has locks on the hitch assy. Put HD breaks on your tow vehicle. Put a trans cooler if the tow vehicle  is an auto & add water wetter to the tow vehicle cooling sys. I've been towing boats & cars for over 35 yr & think I've had just about everything happen at one time or another. I posted this on another foum...good info on car trailers.

All very good advise! Backing up the trailer on my property is kinda tough, I sure do need more practice. I do have a hitch lock, but the first one I bought rusted on, and I had to use a grinder to cut it off. My tow vehicle is a new F250HD V10 w/ factory built in tow package. Thanks for the pointers and the link! Just arrived today, the J hooks that hook into the frame slots, I'll need four more D rings just under the frame I guess. Any one have picture of the car tied down with them?
