Nice set of wheels, Dave! Thumbs%20Up I've got the BFG's on mine and also ran them on my '65.  Found those at Discount Tire.

The local tire places always seem to want so much more money for their product, even when you factor in shipping costs.  My uncle used to be auto dept. manager at the local Sears but he took another job recently, so there goes my connection  LOL  Basically I have a relationship with the "car guys" at the local Monroe store, I bring them tires and they take care of the rest in return for lunch and a burnout in the parking lot  Thumbs%20Up

Just FYI, Discount Tire Direct offers free shipping on their tires, with BFGs for $83/each.  TireRack.com has the Firehawks for $79 each.

Tux,

It's OK.... the TAs had a 1988 date code on them and even tho' they still looked OK and had plenty of tread left, they were ready for the graveyard. I drove back over there with our Nashville Corvette club back in the fall and ran the Tail again. The old tires made the drive there and back MISERABLE!!!!

I got my BFGs from Jeggs High Performance.  P255-60-R15s  72.99 ea plus 7.99 no box fee per tire. Had them in 3 days.   Very happy with them!!  They have a large stock of tires.  It was cheaper than any place local.....

Here's the current info from Jegs re: the BFGs:

"This item is temporarily out of stock. The expected date it will ship is in 4 weeks, if your order is placed today."

Bummer!! Shocked Glad I got mine when I did.  Sorry about that!! Wow, a month, that''s crazy!

Sounds like the Firestones are a good tire as said above.

Like Joel said, all the tire companies are making a bundle on the  18 & 20 inch tires..
