PSU, I agree,I have those same tires on my 71 Z/28.Darn good tires for the price!!!They sure hook a lot better than the BFG's that came off.I didn't have those BFG's on for a year.Sold to a friend of mine and never looked. The 82 CE I bought had a BRAND NEW set of BFG's.First thing I did when I got back from Tampa Was do a bunch of damp pavement burnouts, then went and got a set of GT II's.For some reason I just don't like BFG's.I used to way back when they first came out.Sometime in the early 70's,somebody help me if I'm wrong. If the GTII's are getting hard to find I just wonder what GY is planinng for a replacement.Us old school 15 inch guys are getting pinched out of the market.Coker isn't to far away time wise

Vette(s): 1972 conv., sunfire yellow, blk interior, blk vinyl and convertible top. Off frame restoration with American Speed 383 stroker engine producing 500hp plus a 200hp NOS system. MSD ignition. Hooker super competition headers with chambered exhaust.
Goodyear has one of their largest plants just outside Fayetteville NC. It has been plaqued with a strike for the past 6 months or so. I don't know if this is true or not but I was told that the average hourly pay was $22.50 per hour.
I really don't care if they never make another tire or not. I prefer the Firestones any day.

I guess it's really just something we, 'classic' car owners, have to deal with.______________

MAD has all their C3 BFG and Good Year tires listed as "special order items". Corvette America lists only Firestone tires through model year 1972.

I just had to replace tires on my daily -- only got 20,000 miles out of a supposedly 75,000 mile Good Year tire. I know I drive hard, but come on
