I am trying to set my timing on my 74 350 vette. I put a small cam in it along with boring it .030, added an edelbroch intake, and headers. What method is the best way to go and wha procedure should i follow. Right now at about 2000 rpm i have a total of 36 degrees advanced. at idle this has me at 19 degrees with vacuum unplugged for distributor. I set my points at 30 so I only have the timing to lock in and then i am done playing and should be able to drive the rest of the summer. Looking forward to hearing what everyone does for timing. I know its matter of preference with each individual.
Thanks Rodney
