Retired Thursday, packed that night and left on Christmas day to Wisc for a family visit and then to AZ....dragging a motorcycle.  Left Fond Du Lac, Wi this afternoon for Cedar Rapids.  On Sunday we are hoping to make it to Hays KS...missing the blizzard to the south.  We had planned on going thru Wichita (have fun Larry shoveling snow!), Oklahoma City then Amarillo TX......which of course is gonna get buried in a blizzard!
Looking to stop in Santa Fe Monday night, Flagstaff Tuesday and arrive in Phoenix at 3:00 to move in for two months.
The cycle was wrapped in stretch film to keep it clean.....not!  75 mph on the highway just peels it off!  I'll have time to clean it later.

Congrats on your retirement. I hope you enjoy it and get to do all the things you ever wanted to do! Be safe on your journey and look forward to seeing what adventures you find.

Congrats on the Retirement, and the GOLDWING! Nice. I have mine scattered doing much needed rehab/leak patrol during the winter time.
Yup..trying to put a cover, or anything like that on a bike OR car during transport on an open trailer is futile. You'll wind up doing more damage than just leaving it un-covered. Hope it dint get too may scratches. Thumbs Up

Hey John, congrats on your retirement and welcome to the land of no alarm clocks and no collared shirts !! Or at least that's what I call it.

Have some fun but be safe on the Goldwing. Great riding in AZ, but way too many people concentrating on everything else but the road while driving.

See you in July !!

Congratulations on your retirement, John.  It's @6pm here in Wichita and only had some sleet and freezing rain earlier today.  Roads aren't bad yet and they say only 3-6" of the white stuff by tomorrow night.  It's not supposed to start snowing until midnight.  Wind is really howling, so be careful.  If you need to stop for the night here in Wichita, give me a call... Larry Dukes in the phone book.  Hope you have a safe trip to Az.

I'm up in Hays, KS tonight.  Dry roads and no snow seen yet.  I'll turn south just before Denver and hit Santa Fe, NM Monday night.   No paint damage on the bike. The "wrap" peeled off up to the windshield today....almost naked.

Hey John, I'll be back in Phoenix in...well, not quite sure, probably a couple of weeks.  We'll have to get together for a ride and dinner when I get back.

Congrats on the retirement.

Congrats on joining the folks on permanent vacation...!!!

Not sure what route you're planning on taking but going to the 2013 Gathering in Colorado Springs near Limon, CO on I-70 we took US 24 into the Springs and it was a good road.   Looking at the current radar you'll hit some snow but probably miss most of the major stuff.

Safe travels...!!!
