Looks GREAT, TJ! I still can't believe you just paid $500 for that car! You are the master negotiator!

Got the door lock and glove box lock replaced, and all OEM lug nuts with a set of wheel locks. Carpet, heat shields, liner, and doors for the triple compartment are here, as well as e-brake kit.
Busy, busy, busy!
Think I'll take it to Bob's Big Boy tomorrow night, it's a Burbank classic car tradition on Fridays.

I'd post a pic of todays repairs, but the fact is a functioning door and glove box lock look exactly the same as non-functioning ones! Still, nice to be able to lock the car.

It's really great to see things moving along! It's even better to have a door that latches shut! (don't ask)

Well, I found out that it is not the original engine in my vette. Well, that's not fair, but it isn't the original intake manifold. No egr valve, or even a PLACE for an egr valve. So, a new manifold is in my future before I can finish getting the car street legal. (It passed all other aspects of the smog test)

That's not really a big deal..an intake manifold 50 state legal isn't hard to find..the carb and all the finish parts may run you a little bit but are not impossible to find..gonna be a fun car once its done.

Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
If you have any trouble locating an intake manafold check here. This is the guy I use he is close which will minimize shipping or it is within drive down distance for pick it up.
I have heard there is another big used C3 parts house in Orange County (CA) but I have got nothing on it for sure. Seems like everone who does not own a C3 tells me about it.
There also was on in the County but the last big fire a few years ago burned up his storage area. It was a shame as he had the largest collection of C3 parts according to some C3 owners that used him.
He has been restoring when he can and parting out the ones that are salvage condition only for over 20 years.
