I was thinking of buying a 71 that I found at a dealership in Illinois and I asked CJ5Nutz if he would take a look at it for me.

Long story short, he basically took a look at it and sent my Hi-Rez pictures to help me make my decision. He basically gave me a complete technical analysis on the car. It was a lot different from the description the dealer gave me.

I'm not buying the car because it's too many $$$ for a car that needs lots more $$$ so I guess I'll continue to shop but I just wanted to publicly say: "Thanks !" for taking the time and helping me avoid major disappointment.

This is why I love this place....everyone helps each other...!

Keep looking Jim you will find what you are looking for. I am looking at these guys http://www.uscorvettes.com/ has anybody heard of them or know where they are located. I have been looking for a chrome bumper and the prices here in Canada are ridiculous I think that if the sellers here see a chrome bumper they think it is worth a fortune. I have been looking at the Black 1971 at US Corvettes and even with exchange and shipping to Canada I am getting it for $10K cheaper.  Just a thought and good luck Jim.

T -- the area code at the top of the USCORVETTES web page is North and Central Orange County, California (area code listing).

I did a Google search and found an address reference to Huntington Beach, CA.
