For all those whose cars are in storage for the winter, it's probably time to run out there and pumps the brakes, hard, a few times. Keeps those seals plumped up to prevent leaks. Might want to roll the car forward or back a foot or so to put a different flat spot into the tires, too

Much agreed!
I run mine for about 20 minutes every ten days or so. If the driveway is dry I pull it back and forth in the driveway a few times.
I fugure this way I'm using the brakes and allowing the diff. and u-joints a chance to spin a few times.
Plus I think its good therapy for the winter blahs or blues or whatever.

This is probably better therapy for the owner than the brakes. The single best thing you can do to save your brake seals is to bleed the brakes every couple of years to make sure there is no moisture in them.

Tharapy is good I agree with bleeding the lines every year or so. I wish I had done it to my pickup truck, because last week the brake line split where it had rusted through (after freezing). It's a 93 and I never bothered to bleed off the moisture that must have collected. I still find it helps to flex the seals a bit once in a while - although I know so many who just park 'em and leave 'em until spring, and they go year after year with no problems. I have a friend who just drives his year around - here in Michigan, yet.

I needed the therapy today, so I went out to the garage, took the cover off and pumped the brakes a few times.
It's about all I can do for it right now. The carb (orig. Q-Jet) is off and has been sent out for a rebuild.
It DEFINITELY felt good to sit in the Corvette and maybe I did the brakes some good too.
C'mon Spring!!!

Mine is up on jack stands in my garage, so I can start it up, put it in gear and run it for a while without ever leaving my garage. Not sure what kind of milage I am getting , but it's fun.
, but it's fun.
Just have to remember to open the door so I don't get aphixiated.

Ya to Da brake pump. Me too. Time to pull off cover & fire er up fer a while. Been feelin kinda blue latley. Maybe will cheer me up.
