Really has nothing to do with whether you use E10 or not. If the gas is going to stay in your tank for a long time, use Stabil. It you are going to use the gas in a month or two, you don't need it.

Hey Gary, Stabil makes a product that they say you should use to offset the damage e10(up to e85) gas does to your engine. Snake oil? Who knows, seems like quite the debate. I agree you shouldn't use the stabilizer formula if your using your car consistently.

There is that StarTron stuff. Some sort of enzyme additive for ethanol. I'm skeptical of them.

Amen my brother. I never really got an answer back if I should use Stabil with non-ethanol gas. What do you think?

If you're storing the car for long periods of time(6 months or more, depending on location), it doesn't matter what type of fuel you use, the Stabil will help keep the moisture content down. Stabil had been around long before there was ethanol in the fuel we buy. If you don't store it for long periods, then there's no real reason to use it, other than piece of mind.....it won't hurt anything.

OK so what if you are using e10. Has anyone heard good things about any protective additive?
