Vette(s): had a really nice one. sold it to a good friend. Purchased 2004 custom coupe in Feb. 2009 did not tell anyone here until August 2009. BAD I KNOW.
what can be said that hasn't already been said. I have always wanted a vette C2 or C3. But I had to have a 1970 convertible simple because of the production numbers, and to have it be an LT-1 made the smile that much bigger. I to go into my Gargare and think to myself, man I can't believe I own one, look at that baby!!!!! No matter what it needs it will have it, period.. I am no working on a slow moan and whine to have a new vette for a daily driver, took three years of whining to get the C3, how many for the C6, hell might be the C7? We have one each from the big three:

1970 convertible vette
1995 ford mustang GT ( just turn 100k)
2001 Dodge Sport Caravan with the mobility conversion.
(spent $50k) for the mini van with the wheel chair conversion. (actually softens the blow for the new vette)

What is the purpose of putting the word "SPORT" on the mini van--- Dodge thought it would help sell it to the baby boomers?

Yea I still havent fully come down from excitment when I finalized the deal on my vette. Even though it was a total basket case, It was still a vette. For a 20 year old kid(2 years ago) to buy his own vette, its hard to describe the total glee inside. Not only is it a vette but its one of the best damn looking body styles this 20 year old could think of. I like about mine especially is it being all black and having low menancing exhaust grumble. pulling up at lights and people just stare at those swoopy fenders.

My opinion of the C3 body style is just plain sexy.

I also couldn't get into the C4's.

As for music...could you say "Whitesnake"???

Vette(s): 1982 Collector Edition, color is silver/beige.
I think vettes are one of a few cars car where not only you get reactions from the guys but the ladies too. Even when you pull along side a couple in traffic. I especially like the reaction from people of other countries/cultures. Sometimes they look to try and figure out what kind of car it is and why you don't see too many of them on the road. Besides the kids at the car shows always say this one is cool! |laugh|

When I first started looking to buy a Corvette, I went after a C3 for several reasons...as much as I like C1's and C2's, they are simply out of sight financially, even for a project car. C3's are much more affordable, there were so many built and so many available so I felt I could wait for the right one. C3's are also the last generation Vette made that a non-pro can work on himself without the use of a computer and specialized equipment...not an inconsequential thing.

I love the styling of the C3 as well...the C4 looks like a door stop, though it's not an unattractive car by any means...just somewhat plain. A C4 is also a bear to get in and out of. The worst I can say about C3's is that they're somewhat cramped inside, but few, if any sports cars contemporary to them is any better in that regard.

I got my 75 almost three years ago, and when I'm not in tears from trying to keep it on the road I'm absolutely ecstatic to own it! Bought it as a first car at 19. Such an incredible experience. There are other cars that I would love to own, but the C3 has the style and the looks. Ergh...I love the C3s |biggrin| |thumb|

Vette(s): 1972 coupe/350 cid/mild cam/4 spd/20 ft. paint (looks perfect from 20 ft.), but it sure runs nice.

It's kinda like what happened with the '88-'96 Chevy 1500 P/U's. I've got an '03 Silverado, but I'll never love it like my '93 fleetside/shortbed.

Bob...

I guess I could post a photo as I have some of all three cars together in my back yard, but I haven't since this site is about C3's. I still may...I'll give it some thought since with the snow there's not much else to do.
