Vette(s): Corvette C3 1973, Orange Metallic, interior light sand.
Hi to all,
I've a question regarding side turning lights.
I've got a 1973 small block Corvette. I notice that my car has side turning lights never seen in other vette (even younger, from 1968 or older to 1982).
My car also have extra reverse lights.
Can anyone tell me if it was an option o r what else?
Thank you!

I have never seen any lights like that before on a vette. I think they were added on.

I'll have to agree with Papa's Toy, those lights are not 'normal' for vette's in the USA, however, given that you are in Italy, the side turning lights are fairly common on all vehicles in Europe, so, its possible that the lights were added on prior to exportation, or from the previous owner if you purchased it in Italy(or surrounding area).  The lights might be a requirement for the vehicle laws there... ??

Vette(s): 1973 Orange Metallic Coupe (orig owner), L82, 4 spd (WR), PS, (A/C & PW (I installed from wrecked 73)), leather, AM/FM Stereo, ran with '65 FI unit earlier & will again some day. 2023 Accelerate Yellow HTC Stingray
IIRC, those were added for the export option in order to comply with European laws.

Yes, side turning lights are mandatory in Italy.
Maybe when the Vette was exported, in 2008, they were added.
Maybe the car was exported before 2008, I'm still looking for her history...
I only know that was sold in California, according to the CLC engine code, but no other informations.
Thank you
