Anybody know of a reputable company for shipping (closed trailer or van)? Going from Kansas City to St. Paul. I need to get some price quotes.

Thanks,

Jim

Don't know of any personally but see ads in major automobile magazines all the time.  When are you moving north?

Easy,

I was not happy with the carrier that I selected.  Although it cost only $600 to ship the car from NC to NJ, the carrier (AAA Advantage) that I hired was actually a broker who farmed the job out.  Their Customer Service sucked & the whole thing could have been avoided if I spent a little more $$$.

I have heard good things about http://www.dasautoshippers.com/ and http://www.intercitylines.com/.

Make sure that your carrier is the actual shipper, satellite tracking is nice too.  If you go with an open trailer, make sure you opt for the car to be TOPLOADED.  My car was below a very leaky project car.

Good luck,

Anthony

Some good info there - caveats and referrals. Just what i was looking for.

Norsky - don't know the exact timing of the move - probably summer.

Thanks,

When you get settled in (and somewhat unpacked!  ) let me know and we can meet for a burger and a brew somewhere.
