Vette(s): 1970 stingray, t-top, mulsanne blue with black interior, 406 ci with 444 hp, racing suspension, hooker headers/sidepipes - SOLD :(

well, folks, I'm losin my composure.  the stingray's almost back on the road...after the engine went bam and all our discussions about which tranny and which suspension kit to use, etc...she should be finished and back on the road by Friday.  The motor was finished as of Friday, and I'm both extremely excited, and a bit frightened.  The motor should put out around 600 horsepower...hooked up to a strengthened up 700R4 transmission and a rebuilt posi differential with 4.11 gears.  VBandP's Street and Slalom suspension kit with composite monospring is on, as well as their C3 Sport Brakes.  Hooker headers/sidepipes from Jet Hot...and I'm reminding myself of a giddy schoolgirl as I think about taking her down the river road on Friday evening, if all goes smoothly.  I'll let you all know how it goes, and here's a couple pictures, more later.  Thanks for all the help and advice.

Awesome! Can you give us some details on the motor? Is this all going to be normally aspirated power or is a supercharger involved?

naturally aspirated...Eagle crank and 6" rods, forged aluminum Kieth Black pistons, camshaft and lifters from Cop Cams, Trick Flow heads...we took the original 350, the one that went boom...block wasn't damaged, so we re-used that and built it up...bored it out and turned it into a 406 ci smallblock.

and now that I'm thinkin about it, I need to pick up a rev limiter from MSD and set it to 6000 RPM...camshaft is a hydraulic roller, and I figure the rev limiter's some cheap insurance.

details on the Trick Flow heads are written on a piece of paper I seem to have misplaced at the moment, lol.  the cam is a hydraulic roller, and the engine is running 9:1 compression.

okay...in order to actually get her to DRIVE...I need a driveshaft yoke.  I believe that a 69-70 4-speed would work...gonna ask my wrench tomorrow.  in the meantime, can any of you direct me to a place where I can get ahold of some?
