Big thanks to all at C3VR; she's ALIVE!
After sitting 2 years (it's actually sitting 4 years now, but 2 years ago; I drove it 1/2 mile), I just got my Vette for a 1 mile ride (then it started to rain on my parade and I have no functioning wipers...).
More to come this weekend.
In those 4 years; I managed to redo the calipers, replace the rotors, replaced all the U-Joints, new wheels & tires. It's not much considering ... 4 years... but time and money constraints slowed me down. There might be some transmission work to come, but for now; simply adding a quart of oil did the trick...
You won't be able to wipe the smile off of my face for the next few weeks; guarantee!
Just have to fix the squeeling before my weekend run (one of the belt is super noisy under load).
THEN, I'll park it for the winter; which here in Quebec, is just around the corner now.
I HAD to get it to run this year before I tackle more winter projects; it feels less like a money pit when you actually enjoy 1 mile of driving in exchange for 100's of hours of work and 100's (1000's?) of $$$. It is that drive around the block that keeps me going!
Thanks again to all the C3VR members; you might have not help me by answering a question directly, but I spend a lot of time going through the old post (which could be yours); and I almost always find my answers.
Steph.

Thanks!
And the funniest thing is right after coming back from my ride; my initial thought was to post this message on this board. My circle of friends/family doesn't quite understand my enthusiasm. Once in a while I even get "So... what's next; you gonna sell it?". Obviously; these people really don't get it!
