The judges told me they were impressed with the paint. They wanted to know what wax I was using. Just plain old paste wax and lots of hand rubbing.
At the end of the show they had a drawing for donated door prizes. I won an orbital polisher with fiberglass polish. Too cool!! Now I will be able to really make it shine, it it doesn't take the paint right off!!!

DW,

The orbitals work great, I found a foam finishing pad for mine, used it last, it made a nice difference. Try Meguiars NXT polish & wax, very eay to use, and the finish comes out unbelievable !

I just read an ad for NXT. Is it as good as they advertize?

Congrats, Dave!! I know the feeling well. The very first show I took my '74 to after painting it, it took 2nd place!! (My buddy took 1st with his '75.) It started a long string of shows for me, and I now have a good trophy collection!! 12 shows in 1st year of showing, and 11 trophies!! Have fun!!!!!

I think it is, give it a try, I don't think you'll be diappointed.
