You never know where you'll find them! Good to see another car saved from wasting away neglected and unwanted. Hope it finds a good home!

I agree Barry. It takes a special person to pull one, literally, out of the weeds and breathe new life into it. I truly hope this one gets going again and finds a loving home. I love those stories.

That one looks as though it might be easier to build one from scratch, Interesting question: What parts would you not be able to get if you were to try to build one from what canbe ordered from all the vendors that are making replacement parts? (probably new thread)

Rich[/QUOTE] OK, stupid
question time. If its been sitting outside, not moving, and the frame is not touching the dirt, would it be rusted? wouldn't the body save the frame from getting wet from the weather, so it would be at most a light, not major damage rust? To my ignorant thinking, it seems that it should need just a good sand blasting to clean it? thanks for anybody to teach me. The only bad part is that it would be almost impossible to regain the $$$ spent restoring it, Im sure glad they are doing it, wonder how long it will take. dave.

Well Dave this car is in Washington state which gets more rain than any state as far as I know..the car is a t top..one picture of the interior has stuff hanging down..looks like a seal..t tops leak right? There is white stuff on the dash which I assume is mold..the windshield seal chances are is not sealing all that good..because they are just a rubber seal and no goop..this may have a good motor and trans in it and body..but most other things will be a replace.

Hi Guys,
That green mold looks like the stuff that was all over my 82 CFI when I found it. Mine was not as bad. It still took 6 weekends to clean the outside - polish on...polish off. The inside was in great shape. No leaks or mold.

Nobody ever waves when I'm driving the Explorer.
