Hello,
My 71 Corvette has a decent paint job on it that was done about 6 years ago, But I noticed Rivet shapes around the hood at the front nose area... When I was purchasing it the seller said that seeing the shapes of the rivets are a common theme in corvettes and that's how it goes etc... Is it just because the paint job is sub standard and not properly sanded and primed? What's your suggestions? Thanks!

As long as this doesn't happen... won't take much i guess to make them "POP"
No not mine ! This one is red... like in "blood red"
Really was accidental... who would have figured. And that may qualify as a 5 MPH bumper but not a 5 MPH fender.

Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
I have one rivet that will need to be drilled out on my 82 and the hole repaired when I get ready to repaint it. So it does happen on 78-82 just maybe not as much. I will drill it out use naval jelley to stop the rust and they fill and glass over it. Actually I will have that done as to purchase the stuff necessary to do the job correctly will cost about 1/2 of what they want to fix it when they are preparing it for painting.
