I thought I'd post some pics of how the restoration is coming on our 74... I'm hoping she'll be ready next week so I can get her into paint before the fall. Enjoy!

I just got some more pics from Bob this afternoon. It seems that the chrome trim pieces on the sides under the doors have to be removed in order to mount he sidepipe brackets. Bob said that they unscrew but haven't been unscrewed in 30 years, so everything is rusted. They are trying to get them off.
He was able to get the fiberglass repro bumper on & have the pieces mate up. He had been struggling with a 1/2" gap at the bottom. Here's a pic of the back of the taillight receticals. It looks like they've been shaved down.

Here's the back mounted! bouncy

Next we have the dual electric fans installed...

Here's a picture of the shortened driveshaft with new joints...

Here's a picture of the new roller rocker arms...

You have got to be getting very antsy about getting the vette back by now. Looks like you are doing it up right.

The latest update was that Sassi refused to go into gear. Apparently there was a problem with the linkage, but its been fixed. The switch controlling the electric fans was also bad & is being replaced. We've ordered a billet aluminum AC clutch cover to match the rest of the pulleys. She was fired up last week & sounds like a stock car. |biggrin| There are still apparently some problems getting the sidepipes to mount but I'm sure that Bob will take care of them. I'll provide updates & pics as I receive them. |wavey|

I still have not been up to look at your car. I need to make a trip up there and check it out.

Well I just received a short video from Bob in my email this morning. A friend on the corvette forum was nice enough to host it. Make sure you turn the volume up as Sassi has no cats or mufflers. |biggrin|
