Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
This may be an answer for people that cannot get paper copies of there Manuels. Even if you do have a paper copy a .pdf is real easy to search on and just print the pages you need. It will not work for my 1982 does not have one on line or I would purchase on just as backup to my paper manuel. The question I have has anyone purchase one of these and is it the Corvette shop manuel? http://www.corvetteparts.com/details/gid/003691.htm

Those are in fact the Factory Service/Repair manuals. Don't know how good they are since, as far as I know, they are scanned copies of the actual manuals. IMO, they are ok if you can't find the hard copy of the manuals, but I like having the actual book right there when I need it while working on a car. It would be good to just be able to print out specific pages, too, so...I can see either choice being valid.
I wonder why there isn't one for the '82?

Except for the fact that I would most likely distroy my manual I would do that. I have complete PDF capabilities. PDF's are a good searching tool. You know that if you type in vacuum you will find avery thing that has to do with vacuum in the manuel and looking by hand you are not as sure. I do agree that I like the paper but PDF's are nice.

If they are scanned copies, probably each page is a separate graphic, and therefore not searchable.

I'm not sure exactly how they got the info onto a disc/PDF...I'd be curious to know what the contents look like, if anyone happens to have one, or buys one.
