Hey Guys, I turned into my younger self Sunday. We live about 20 miles from the beach and took out the 77 and cruised  down on Sunday. On the way home a new Lexus started doging me and I let him pass. He then slowed down to try to make me pass. I pulled up beside him and the race began. I let him go and started doging him up to about 125 mph. He couldn't shake me and flashed  his brake lights and slowed down. I really wanted to put the pedal to the fiberglass, but that was the end of that, I let him go. Needless to say I had one angry wife. I apologized to her but I had that little unseen smile on my face. Gene

Careful now Gene. Don't try that with the LS430. They are electronically limited to 156 MPH. Rolling%20On%20The%20Floor%20Laughing

No Tux I'm back to my "slow as you go" lifestyle. I've had my 77 baby for four yrs. never have gone this wild. I was really proud of her. I didn't know what she had in her and BT you are right it was "so SWEEEEEEEEEEET". I have had three other vettes in my lifetime and they really liked to drink and chase women, but I don't miss it. Ahhhh ! The single life. Never had a vette when I was single. I was drivin' a mustang, don't recall it being a great Babe getter, maybe it was just me.    Unhappy Who'd of thought I'd find a girl that would let me keep a stable full of corvettes, even if we can't afford it. Lord, gotta love her. I'm as happy as a Clown.

Vette(s): 1971 convertible,375 HP 350ci,Muncie 4-speed,Edelbrock aluminum heads and RPM air-gap manifold,HEI distrubiter - old school mechanical tach drive. LOUD side exhaust!
It's funny, I have as big a lead foot as anyone, but I drive much slower in the vette. I almost never go over the speed limit. It's really entertaining when a new Mustang pulls up beside me at a stop light. I just glance over at them and look boredCool.

Same here. I try to behave unless I'm in the middle of nowhere. It is tempting when a ricer pulls up and agitates the bees( that annoying high pitched sound coming from the coffee can tail pipe).

Gene, that is way cool and fun. Cool  It really does make you feel like a "Teenager" again. Wink Every now and then, I get a wild hair in my tail pipe and have to cut loose. LOL  I had a silver C5 wantin' to race with me, so I did. Shocked  I couldn't help myself.  I was in my black C5 (Otis), it was late and very few cars were on the road.  Well, I down shifted and put the pedal to da' floor and went flyin' by that other C5. Rolling%20On%20The%20Floor%20LaughingRolling%20On%20The%20Floor%20Laughing  Then, I saw my speed in the head's up display and almost had an accident in my pants.
