Who has one of these in their vette. The ones that the catalogs sell.Ecklers calls them Challenger speakers. They fit along the rear of the storage area.Come with 6 speakers installed.I'm thinking of getting one but would like some input about the sound they put out.Do you still need a sub with this? Thanks.

I put one in last year. The bar I put in sounds like the one you are talking about. It sounds pretty good with a 30 watt stereo but says it will take 200 watts. I am putting a 200 watt amp in this spring. We will see. The bar also frees up a lot of space.

I have one in my '78. It sounds good with my Alpine stereo, but I don't think it's equal to the better speakers installed in boxes designed for best acoustics. My main concern was space saving and it does that very well, and is definitely a better sound than the stock speakers in the dash top.

My problem is that they advertize that they will not work on a car with the optional rear speakers.I replaced my front and rear speakers with some Memphis Audio ones and they sound good and crisp but don't offer any bass.I don't want to go with all the powered sub.stuff.Takes up too much space.
