Vette(s): 1973 L-48 Coupe. Classic white with black leather interior.
1. I have seen complete seats on ebay from time to time.
The other questions, I'll leave to the experts.

Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!
Are you sure it's exhaust? Oil leaking on the engine or exhaust and burning will cause quite a stink as well. And oders in the engine will find their way into the car.

The hood may need hinge or latch adjustment as well as the rubber blocks. A slight bend to the hinge will make a big difference. Look at them closely for warpage.
