There is a small metal plate attached to the inside the drivers door jam with letters and numbers. What information does this provide and how would I decode them? Any help would be great. Thanks!

They are the interior and exterior paint codes that were original on your car. The Corvette black book can tell you what they mean. or just post the the letters and numbers and some one here can tell you too. Post them in the body forum.

C 04C = build date: April 3 (1982 @ Bowling Green)
112049 = car number 12,049
13I = interior trim: Silver? (not positive on this one)
19L = lower body paint color: Black
19U = upper body paint color: Black
Hope this helps.
John

Lumberjack,
Thanks for the info. Vette is black w/silver interior. It has been re-painted. Good to know it was black to begin with.
