Under FWIW column...Last week I went and bought a gallon of PPG epoxy primer, reducer and a qt. of catalyst..Just under $200.00 total.I'm OK with that number because it is the best PPG sells, and that will cover the whole car with 2 coats, minimum. Then I asked for a qt.of satin black, chassis black, call it what you may,for my susspension parts and engine compartment.$48.00! I'm no tight wad,but I'm not paying $48.00 for underhood black. So, a painter freind tells me to go to home depot and get a qt of Rust Oleum satin black...$8.00!! I reduced it 15% with acetone, and does it look GREAT.The can even tells you you can use spray equipment. It was enough to do all parts but not the engine bay which I will do after blocking the primer.

You are my hero. I thought I was the only one anywhere that recently upgraded to color TV.
