I believe it is finally time to locate a shop and pull the trigger on a paint job.
My best car buddy threw down the gauntlet and we challanged each other to see who's car would make this happen first 😀
Located in Maryland but I am willing to travel some distance for the best outcome.
It will need some body work and rust repair, I realize this and am prepared for whatever happens when it comes apart.
I've owned Blu72 since 1975 so it's now or never, one of those bucket list things......
So, some research reveals these shops near me, any thoughts on them is most welcome.
Thanks and wish me luck.....and see you all in Williamsburg this spring.

Hello Sir, Well let me give you an opinion. A 72' is worth significantly more than a rubber bumper car. So.. depending on what
You value the car at, and what it takes to make it what you want it to be, and what degree of quality the finish you want, hang on to your hat when you get a price. The snowball effect will surely be active. The more you dig and uncover, the higher the bottom line will be. If it leaks now in the wiper bay, it will be Very Difficult to remedy it, but not impossible. The work MAY be more than the car is worth. What ever you determine is the cars value NOW, just think about doubling that for what it will be to finish the job. PM me, and I can go into more detail for your benefit.

Hammerslasautobody in Hanover PA has done compete paint work on many Corvettes. I plan on having my 64 Corvette painted by them. They have pics on their Facebook page.
735 Carlise St. Hanover PA. (717) 634-5145

Chuck at Mid Atlantic Corvette Restoration is awesome. Chuck does do some painting but does not do full paint jobs anymore. My 68 Vette is at Chucks shop now. Chuck will take your car apart and put it back together after its painted.

Rust repair, body work, and then paint? Be prepared for a $30,000 estimate.
