Hello all,
I am trying to figure out if my engine is orignal to the car or not. I recently went to a car show and the guy next to me stated it was not, I did a little research that shows it could be a 73' vette engine, how can I tell for sure?
Here's what i got:
Casting # 3970010
Suffix code: V0213CKZ
Thanks,
Rick

Vette(s): 69 Conv #'s match 427, TKO-600/.64, 3.36HD-Posi, HT, T/T, PS, PB, PW, SP, Leather, Comp XE264HR & Roller Rockers & Lifters, Air-Gap RPM intake, Holley St Av 770 VS, MSD 6AL+Dist+Blaster SS, K&N, Jet-Hot Hooker Side-Pipes, Steeroids, Al Rad, Spal Fans
well that block casting was used in vettes from 69-79
in 73 it was either a 190horse 2 bolt or 250 horse 4 bolt
corvette by the numbers says its a 73 corvette engine
as dave says... 4 spd 190hp...
that guy didnt know what he was talking about..
you can check the vin.. see if it matches.. but that is a 73 vette engine.. maybe not your 73 vette

That's what I figured, what part of the VIN number should match?

The last 6 digets should match the last 6 of the VIN

Thanks all,
I couldn't match the VIN until I found the barely readable number to the left of the suffix code....Good news!!! It matchs!!
