[QUOTE=ranger3]If I am reading the ad correctly is says the previous owner spent $2500 on paint. If that is material and labor it is far to cheap for a Vette paint job. I would be very skeptical about that. Other than that, the price seems reasonable too me. It is a beautiful car now. I just wonder how long the paint will hold up.

i would look for stingray406 's car and spent the money left on a decent paint job...then you can sleep on 2 ears and enjoy for many years
just because 99% of time your car is seen and evalueted on the paint job....

Looks like it might need a new exhaust soon (unless it has been replaced since the picture was taken).
If the frame is straight and it doesn't show any major damage to the body, I would offer $18K and go as high as $19K.
BTW, I love the color, but if it started bubbling or cracking, I'd have it repainted the original steel gray.

Looks good to me too! Having someone look at it before you purchase it would be a great idea. Good luck with it.

Yes it looks to be very nice and with some history to go along with it is very good. Remember "Or Best Offer" so having said that after it is checked out and anything that it may need done put into consideration you are looking at as low as $17500 to $19000 easy. Also find out how long he has had it up for sale, this could be good to know if he really wants to sell it sooner than later and cash talks!

The engine bay is immaculate, interior looks good and the paint looks good. Being a skeptic, I question why it was repainted red (resale red?). The one pic of the undercarraige shows no significant rust on the front cross member, and it also doesn't look like someone has tried to cover anything up under there. But I would defnintely want to see it up on a lift. It looks like a very nice car but I think the price is a little high (it's a base engine car). I think 18 - 19K is the top limit of fair. 15 - 16K would be a steal.

Looks very nice to me. Probably worth all of 20k, but I would start low, & work your way up.

It's a beautiful looking Corvette!
I won't repeat the good advice already given.
Just looking forward to hearing more about this car after you have seen it in person and had it looked at by a 3rd. party.
Good luck with it!

BTW, that ride looks vaguely familiar to me. Had to look in garage to see if My Girl was still there......
