I have to much time on my hands today because I didn't have to work.
I was doing a little research on my car's Birthday and what I found was odd.
The best I can come up with is the car was built on Nov, 5th 1968.
It was on a Tuesday, and it was also Election Day!!!

Tuesday Nov 5th 1968 is the day Richard Nixon beat Hubert Humphrey for President.

Odd?

Can't blame me.  I was too young to vote in that one.  Made up for it four years later.

LOL

P.S.  The time/build date on your '69 should be D05.

Good point since you can bet the UAW boys voted, some of them possibly more than once....(Sorry, couldn't help that one..)

I'm sure they were allowed time off to vote.

11/27/07  Thought about this last night.  The first shift at St. Louis started at 6:00 a.m. and ended at 3:00.  First shift workers were probably on the job by the time the polls opened, but would have had time to vote after their shift.  Second shift folks could have voted before going to work.
