Vette(s): Used to own a 1979 Corvette now owned by JB79
Corvette Specialties stocks both the NCRS book, and the Black Book.
How much for the NCRS book? Could I call to give you a Credit Card to place the order?
...I use several different sources, but the main one is the "NCRS Pocket Spec Guide"... The "Black Book" is good...I also have the "Corvette Birthday" book, that gives all of the final build VINs for each month, as well as the final for each day.
Ditto. I use all of those and the NCRS Judging Guides. Watch the Birthday Book. It's good but not perfect.
Go here and join. Excellent Corvette reference material available from the NCRS.

Here is my summer driver. I hope to get it in comparable condition with this one day. Thanks for all the replies guys, and especially to Adams Apple for getting me the info I was looking for in a hurry. Regards! George

I think you made a pretty good buy, for what you paid. You got it cheap enough to be able to fix what needs to be fixed, and still not be upside down on it.

I think you did pretty good for yourself George. That's about where I started with My Girl. I paid $4,600 for her, and after lots of hard work and around 10K later it was well worth it. Welcome to the world of Corvette. Its not just a car, its a passion. Have fun with her!
