Corvette Specialties stocks both the NCRS book, and the Black Book.
How much for the NCRS book? Could I call to give you a Credit Card to place the order?
...I use several different sources, but the main one is the "NCRS Pocket Spec Guide"... The "Black Book" is good...I also have the "Corvette Birthday" book, that gives all of the final build VINs for each month, as well as the final for each day.
Ditto.  I use all of those and the NCRS Judging Guides.  Watch the Birthday Book.  It's good but not perfect.

Go here and join.  Excellent Corvette reference material available from the NCRS.

Well, here's what it looked like before I picked it up last week. It was sitting just where you see it looking like just how you see it. I used to drive by it all the time when one day I just rang the bell and asked if it the lady who came to the door if was for sale. The lady said it was her husband's and she didn't think it was for sale. I left my number anyway and said if he was interested it selling it one day to call. 3 weeks later he called and told me he wanted $4000 for it. I offered him $3000 and he took it. I'm not sure if paid too much or not. It's got matching numbers with 169,000 miles on it. It also has a 4-speed. It does run, and actually sounds okay but tired. It has a lousy paint job that's chipping and peeling in a lot of places. It's orignal color is silver. The fender has a good size crack and the nose piece is just hanging on loosely. The interior is red (not dark red). It's showing it's age but the seats and wheel look decent. The rear compartment is falling apart. I'm not sure how far I'm going to take this.   Does anyone know what it may be worth in the condition that it's in? (ballpark) I do have bodywork and paint experience and my friend is great with fiberglass.

Here is my summer driver. I hope to get it in comparable condition with this one day. Thanks for all the replies guys, and especially to Adams Apple for getting me the info I was looking for in a hurry. Regards! George

I think you made a pretty good buy, for what you paid. You got it cheap enough to be able to fix what needs to be fixed, and still not be upside down on it.

I think you did pretty good for yourself George. That's about where I started with My Girl. I paid $4,600 for her, and after lots of hard work and around 10K later it was well worth it. Welcome to the world of Corvette. Its not just a car, its a passion. Have fun with her!Thumbs%20Up
