Vette(s): My 1974 Vette sold last August 2014. I am still willing to show up to events and local gatherings if anything happening No new vette yet.
Anyone know of any mechanics in NJ area that are good with vettes? i checked the mechanic directory and most of the links are for dealerships or body shops. My car is painted and interior is fine. i need engine work done and some maintenance on some other smaller parts on my car. The corvette paramedics link i have a call into them but i called three times and I only get their voicemail when i choose any of the options.

they can't be the only spot in NJ to get a vette worked on the right way.
Hillside corvettes is my main mechanic but during the year he got hurt on the job twice and has had some family issues so he is about a year behind on work and i don't see myself going in anytime soon.
Please help with ideas or locations. thanks. i am looking to get the work done thru the winter and ready for next spring.

ABSOLUTLY TRUST ME ON THIS - Jimmy Allen at Allens performance is the ONLY guy who touches my car. BIG Vette and Muscle car shop. ALL GUy are SAE and SAE Master Wrenches. Always right the 1st time and your car comes back cleaner then it got there. ALso, if you ask nicely, he'll lock your baby inside at night. Drop my name, I send him a ton of biz. My main mechanic is a close friend of mine and unfortunately not for hire. However, I since can't expect him to be at my beck and call, I also use Hulco Layton Garage in Layton NJ. This guy is excellent (Art). He's honest, backs his work, and is old school.
He also does body work, one of his projects won first place at Pebble beach in 2005. The only problem is that he's pretty far away, it takes me almost an hour to get to him, what a PITA that is.
