Couldn't find a good thread to ask about this on, so i'll put it here and maybe the addmen guys can move it?

I was just wandering how much trouble I'm going to run into this weekend to change the seals and boots in my '7d8's headlight vacuum cylinders? Any special tools required, special lubs? I know some of you guys (and gals too) have tackeled this job.

Thanks in advance 'cause I know you've got some good advice and tricks.  Chuck

Thanks Joe, I did them this evening. The pass. side was ruff to get in and out, no room between the mount and the hood. Now they open up good but won't close. The dr.side closed 4 or 5 times good while I tryed to figure out what was wrong with the pass. side, now it won't close either. Today I'll look for leaks first, I've got a good leak checking article which helped me decide that the trouble was the seals and boots in the first place. Thanks again for your input.

Hows thing in Sonoma? I was born in Chico and raised just North of Redding up by Lake Shasta. I've been in Middle Ga. for 40yrs. now, so when I go back home everybody says I sound like a Southerner, 'majin that!!

  Thanks again, Chuck
