Thanks so much for answering. Haven't seen any of theses vettes in all the shows and meets we have been to in the past 20 years. Still haven't heard from the seller answering the original questions-this is a big clue not to take it at face value. Owner states it has factory am/fm/ radio. Curious as if the L 46 pkg could possibly have had one of the 25 M22 produced that year... doubtful.

thanks for the responses.

If you can come up with any other information, please let us hear from you.

Well, it seems that there was indeed such a program that made Corvettes available to the astronauts, and they apparently had some special badging. There seems to be some confusion as to what all years were involved. However, if Apollo 12 got '69s, Apollo 11 wouldn't have gotten '70s, like the one on ebay.

Mike:

In the "1969 Stingray Guidebook" by Rick Bizzoco, on pagees 203-204 there is a short writeup with photos on the Apollo 12 Astronauts (Conrad, Gordon, and Bean) and their 3 identical 1969 Corvettes. There are also two color pictures at the end of the book. They were painted Gold with a unique Black top that extends down to the top of the rear wheel well. They also had a unique Red, White and Blue "badge" above the Stingray script on the fender.
