Ever since the venue was changed from the Old Town area to out near Lakeland, attendance has dropped dramatically. The new location is inconvenient to most of what was needed/wanted in Old Town. A few couples from our club went last year and its no where near what it use to be. Instead of 60 to 70 club members staying an entire weekend, only 3 or 4 couples attend and that's only for a day's visit. In Old Town, within walking distance were: the shopping, restaurants, motel/hotels, 5 acres of Corvette vendors, kid activities, and the Mecum Auction was about 5 miles east. Everything was so convenient, you could park your car on Thursday and not have to use it until you left Sunday. Can't do that with the new location. Until the organizers arrange the show back in Old Town, there will be at least two clubs of members not attending (that equates to about 150 to 200 people).

Progress seems to have pushed it out!

The move from Old Town was due to the loss of acreage adjoining Old Town Property that for many years was leased and Old Town lost their lease on this property. Without that property our event could not be housed in the remaining space at Old Town.
