Thanks evryone. So far I have put 2k miles on this car and onlyu had it 7 days today. Better slow down. Update: my missing issue ended up being crapy spark plug wires changed them out for AC Delco wires. Disconnected the heater hoses, oh..my...goss what a difference in cab temperature. It's now like what I had imagined, warm but tollerable. Changed the oil to a synthetic blend, added an additive in the coolant the engine temp has dropped to 155deg. The AC compressor is dead. I've ordered a reconditioned one hope to get it in next week. Going to laydown some heat barrier this weekend while huricane Dennis blows over us. Paid the state of Florida a *#@*! bunch of money to get my plates and registration. Put my first scratch in the interior messing with my rear window..that sucked. Still love and want to drive it each day. The insurance I got only allows 5k miles a year. Need to find how to disconnect the odometer! Took some pics but they didn't turn out that great. Will post some soon.

Congratulations !

I know the way you feel because I went through pretty much the same experience, driving my new toy from New Orleans to Sarasota a few years ago. Also, I have been struggling keeping the engine cool, especially through summer time. Finally, I changed the radiator and the water pump for performance parts. This is only after I have done that that I could start using the A/C. Before, turning on the A/C would just increase the engine temperature as the air getting through the A/C condenser would be warmer when hitting the radiator just behind, reducing the cooling effect on the engine.

Enjoy your rides!

Congrats on your new heart pumping and cheeks hurtin from the always big smile while driving ride!!!  (I was going to say bloody knuckles some where in there too)

I trailered my new ride from Utah to PA.  It was in no shape to drive around the block since the calipers were toast!   Now 2 years later, mechanically reliable and only 3 major things remain:  AC, paint and interior installation.  Hope to have it all done by next year for C3X.
