I drove mine to the race in Darlinton last year, around 229 miles round
trip. With my foot in it most of the trip I got 18 mpg. Stock L48.

About 10, but I'm expermenting with additiveswhich is probably a fool's errand. I don't put much milage on it either but a slight improvement would be nice.
What do you dudes and dudettes think about premium gas vs regular ina 78? (As you can tell, I am here to learn...)

My 1976 with a ZZ4 with Hot cam, 750 Holley, 5 speed transmission and 3.36 rear end gears. From Seattle to Pigeon Forge and back I got 20MPG with no air, night driving. Most of the time AC was on I would average 17/18MPG.I did not expect that,
Now my new one 1996 with the LT-4 WOW..When I brought it home I got 33MPG..With gas heading to $3.00 this summer I will test it on the way to the 2007 gathering..

Vette(s): 73 coupe bought new in 1973 with only luggage rack, AM/FM radio, HD battery & Maplight as options. L48, 4 speed, Paint Med Met Blue 922 interior Dark saddle 418 special order. Repurchased 4/1/06 after 24 years.
My 73 L48 with 3.36 rear/M20 4spd all stock except Hooker headers into stock exhaust used to get around 17 hwy and 12-14 city when it was new (1973-1982). Now I am getting around 15 hwy and 10-12 city. I'm not sure why the fuel economy is so much poorer now, I would not expect the headers to make that much difference. I am considering a crate motor and 5 speed but of course the cost would take forever to pay back, so who knows.

I've never experienced a significant mileage bump by using a 305 instead of a 350. If you want good mileage and performance... go with fuel injection on a 350.

Fuel - Economy = Corvette
Pretty sure that equation is befitting of most C3's.
Mine ranges from 12 - 16. I prefer to measure it:
