Do we have any mechanics here on the C3VR?
If so, please identify yourself, and tell us a little bit about what you do!

Thanks! |rollysmile|

Are we talking ASEI or whatever certified or just hackers or guys that do it for fun, and are better than some of the certified guys?

I do it for fun, from basic stuff to complete engine rebuild, automatic transmission, electrial, body work, painting, Below is the proof. |smokin| |biggrin|

Well, lets put it this way...I'm asking about people that have been paid to work on other people's Vettes for more than 5 years!

Does that narrow it down? |grins|

Thats a interisting concept: getting paid for working on cars? Maybe I'll have to start charging? |laugh| |laugh| |laugh|

My side pipes connect to headers, I believe they were Headman, specifically for Corvettes with side exhaust. I got them in a package deal when I purchased the side exhaust system at Chevy/Vettfest in Chicago, a few years ago.I think the part numbers has floated around a few times,if you need it I can take a look or post and I'm sure it will come up.

I was a certified mechanic working at the local Chevy dealership for 5 years. Then I got smart and went back to college. |laugh| Now the only cars I work on are my own and those that belong to co-workers who know I used to be a mechanic. |eek|

I,m about 85% done and trying to be finished by spring .. I,ll take a pic later today and send it to you of the engine compartment . The carb setup takes up a lot of room so I am installing a hydroboost and removing the vacuum unit for the brakes . I need the extra room as I would like to build a trick air filter system .
