ok i know this will get alot of comments but here we go. thoughts and opinions on the best manual to buy as a repair/restoration guide. I bought a haynes but its really not the quality it used to be.there are alot of examples on the market but most of the resto guides focus on early c3's and i'm mostly repairing right now as i don't have the money yet to to a body off restro.

Two things:
Get the Factory Service manual(s) for your year.
Get the NCRS Judging Guide for your year.
Depending on what you plan to do with the car, both will get you there.

Joel is correct on both items. Even though I am not doing an original restoration on mine, I still broke down this fall and purchased an NCRS book for my year and have gotten lots of great information from it. It was definately worth the money!

ok, now i'm a novice so bare with me. when i google factory service manuals at least ten different ones show up. is there one that is the best or better. cause i would assume that chilton's or something similar is gonna be missing stuff in order to cover multiple years. is there a official manual from chevy like a dealership uses for 1978.
