A buddy of mine used one. He said the product was terrific but installation is not for faint of heart.  He ended up having it installed..

Good product, but in my opinion worth hiring it out to an expert for installation. It isn't difficult for a novice to do some real damage quickly. JMO.

Several of our local shops will only use Al Knoch.  They are clearly the best.  And I agree with those who say you should have it professionally installed.  There are tricks that only a pro knows.

I purchased an Al Knoch top kit for "The Toy" 6 years ago.  I was going to do the install myself but after doing a lot of research decided to let a pro do it (plus I was running out of time).  Most of the shops I checked with didn't even want to talk to me about doing the install until I told them it was an A.K. top.  Very happy with it.  Thumbs Up

My buddy just restored his 60 with all Al Knoch products. He did everything himself. He just took his time and everything worked out great.

He is retired and would work on it some ... stop.... work on it some more. He called Al Knoch for help and suggestions a few times. They were very helpful and curtious.

Overall he said he would do it again but for sure anyone attempting to do this better have time & be cool calm & collected.

Oh and be prepared for some sore hands.... (there was alot of tuggin goin on.....)

I purchased an Al Knock top for my 72 years ago....and installed it myself...
Unfortunately I can turn a wrench with the best of them BUT I sure can;t paint OR as I learned install the top the way I thought I would be able too,,,

The top was cut by some one some where some how and Insurance covered the replacement..
And I sure had a upholsterer .install it the second time....

Three years ago I replaced the top on my 64....Al Knock again and I let the pro install it...

98 percent wrinkle free may be good enough for you BUT NOT for me.. Money well spent (and it was not a heck of as lot...
