For me the best place is to do a search on craigslist and 2nd ebay.
Also put a want ad on craigslist.
I recently purchase a car, not a vette.. and had lots of responses via my craigslist want ad. Tho I did end up buying it on ebay. Made the ebay guy an offer and he closed the bidding early.
