Looking for a knowledgable C3 mechanic

I am looking for a knowledgeable C3 mechanic in the Rockford IL area. I live in Freeport and there are none here to rely on.
If anyone knows of a mechanic in the Rockford area please let me know.

Anything mechanical and electrical.
Quite honestly it is hard to trust mechanics in this area where I am at as there are very few Vettes let alone C3's.
I had the trailing arms rebuilt by Gary at V-Tech Corvette in Stillman Valley, IL.
He did an excellent job but he only does a few items (Trailing Arms, Rear Ends, Trans.).
Just so you know, I was very lucky to find Gary. If you are looking for trailing arm, rear end and trans rebuild check him out. He does excellent work.

I know V-Tech, I go to Jim Stevens in South Beloit. He has been in business for 30 years. He use to do complete restorations. Now he just does trailing arms, rear ends, steering boxes and trans. If I remember correctly he supplies V-Tech with parts and trailing arms. Jim has a large inventory of used parts and you can't beat the price. I've done business. With Jim for 25 years. One other mechanic is Tom Ricotta's at Ricotta's Automotive in Rockford. He has a few corvetts of his own.
