Hay all!

I trying to document as many of the 6502 Pace Cars as I can by VIN and options. I know I won't be able to get them all due to some being totaled long ago but I'm trying catalog as many as I can. I’ve been at it for some years now and have found 1,512. Most of which I have the engine and transmission for as well as other options. I created an excel spreadsheet with all 6,502 VIN's. I placed an (x) as the 5th digit for the engine and as I find a car I replace the X. The spreadsheet is numbered from VIN 0001 to 6502.

I'm trying to find out what options each car has such as which engine/transmission, cloth or leather interior, radio (8-track or cb), gymkhana suspension, speed control and it's mileage. If it’s for sale, the asking price, city and state as well. I’m also trying to track the build dates. So, if you have a Pace Car or see one at a car show or somewhere, your help would be greatly appreciated. If you could post as much of the info as you can that would be a tremendous help.

I know there are others out there trying to do the same kind of thing, and if you’re one of those, maybe we can get in touch and share information or maybe even combine forces and do a collaboration to gather this information

Thank You

Jeff

There are 83 '78 Pacers registered HERE in the Registry, if you have not already checked. Just enter "19/47" in the "Original Color" box and click on "Search". 😉

Vette(s):
SOLD - "The Toy" - '70 Convertible
SOLD - "The Beast" - '90 ZR-1 (#682)
SOLD - "Betty" - '28 Ford Model A Tudor
SOLD - "BLKBRRD" - '78 Pontiac Trans Am
"BLUBYU" - '04 Coupe
Selecting Model Year: 1978 is an extra filter that may slim down the results. Selecting Sort by: VIN may make it easier to work through the results.

Thank you both
I have and continue to check the site periodically. I have all of them from the site already. Although there is missing info on a number of them such as the options and Date Tag. I don't want to go by the birthday calculator as it's not entirely accurate.

There is a guy that I saw on a facebook forum that says he has 4,537 VIN's but not much more info, maybe a hundred or so transmissions. I don't do facebook and I don't know how else to get hold of him. I'm still looking for anyone else that might be doing the same thing too.
