Well I finally got the car out today
. The baby came out of hibernation, exactly the same way she went to sleep
.

Took her for a 40 mile ride and all was well, can't believe I went 5 months without her.
But, as expected with all C3's, I found about 2 tablespoons of trans fluid, about 1/8 cup or less, of oil, and a little anti freeze
.

I found a couple of clamps loose, tightened them up, so that should take care of the antifreeze problem.
Even though the oil and trans fluid wasn't much, I'm hoping it's nothing serious, but I don't like the trans leak a bit.
I'll find out soon enough.
Anyway, have a great cruise season

Hey Warbird,
Glad you got it out today & I hope the leaks are no big deal.
I took mine on a shorty just around the neighborhood and then changed the oil. And it felt good!!!
Enjoy your Corvette!!!

Color me jealous! My baby started making really nasty grinding sounds in the rear and so it's time to put her on a rack and check it out. Not sure what it is. Might be time for a complete rear end / suspension upgrade. Hate to be without her for the good weather though. Hope you guys all enjoy HS! Ought to be a killer time!

Took mine to the local shop on Thursday PM for inspection and pre-Gathering checks. Should be ready to roll on Monday. It's supposed to be a nice day, so maybe I'll have to take a few laps around the "block".

Took my baby out today for its first test hop. Got so into it, I went about 150 miles. She ran real good, but found a real small leak in the radiator. Mainly just gotta clean and polish and get the bags packed. ARE WE THERE YET????

GREEN with envy. It was sunny and 67 degrees up here today but "The Toys" had to stay in the garage as we were in the Subaru most of the day. Drove down river to Wabasha for a quick visit with my sister and brother-in-law (there visiting his Dad) and then drove them to the airport in LaCrosse so they could catch their return flight to Alaska. All in all about 8 hours of seat time by the time we got back to "The Ranch".
Rain mixed with snow in the forecast for tomorrow so will have to wait a little longer for that first ride of the season.

tranny seal may have just contracted a little from non use. has happened with some of my cars that sat. added fluid and after running seemed to seal tight again. as a matter of fact my 81 caddy has been setting for 4 years and finally got it started and had to add some fluid to the tranny and it was ok.
had my top off my 90 yesterday doing some running around and it felt great with the sun beating down on me. of course today it is miserable out but yesterday was a practice run for the great cruisin weather coming.
hope to see you at paul's again this year for the bbq.

Finally fixed the bellcrank support on the '81 last week and since my daughters car needed fixing, I took the wife for a ride to the coast (160 mi. each way). Never got close enough to a vette to share a wave but I did run hwy 17 thru the Santa Cruz mountains along side a new Ferrari vert. Don't know what the model was. It had the 2 tapering humps, one behind each passenger headrest. Sure felt good to run with him. Kept up with him until we hit traffic going down the other side. I don't like to screw around in traffic.

Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses.

It only got to 65 here yesterday, but Candi and I took the car out yesterday with the top down!!
Today, against my better judgement, I'm going to tke the car on my week long business trip to Columbus, OH.
Today is supposed to be gorgeous, but rain is called for most of the rest of the week. I haven't really given the car it's "Spring Cleaning" yet, so I'm justifying it that way. The project I've been working on for the last five months or so is wrapping up (FINALLY!), and I wanted to drive the car at least once during the project, so this may be one of my last chances. Things are looking good this morning on the weather - I think I may actually go TOP DOWN all the way over!!
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!
