It'll bolt right on Rick...no problem. Thumbs Up
Be sure to check the surface of the manifold around the thermostat housing, and around the water jackets where it bolts to the heads. A lot of those aluminuminum manifolds have corrosion in those areas that cannot be fixed easily. Check it well before making the trade. Make sure the threads for the thermostat housing and the carb bolts are not stripped. Thumbs Up

Vette(s): 1973 Orange Metallic Coupe (orig owner), L82, 4 spd (WR), PS, (A/C & PW (I installed from wrecked 73)), leather, AM/FM Stereo, ran with '65 FI unit earlier & will again some day. 2023 Accelerate Yellow HTC Stingray
It will fit if it hasn't been machined to fit heads that have been machined or if your heads haven't been machined and the aluminum manifold is virgin.

Other than a small weight savings and appearance, is there another reason to switch?

Ya..the L82 manifolds were pretty much the same design as the cast iron/L48 manifolds...just cast from aluminuminum. No real performance gain other than the difference in heat absorbing properties, and a few pounds of weight. They do look better, tho.

Chuck my side pipes has seen better days,I may trade for the manifold or put them on craigslist.I'm still in the thinking about it mode.

Vette(s): 1980 Coupe / Snowcrest White / L48, 350 / Comp Cam / Edelbrock Heads / Cyclone Intake / Holley Carb / Holley Fuel Pump / Patriot Headers / Dual Exhaust / Magnaflow Mufflers / 1964 Coupe / Riverside Red / L76, 327, 365hp
For whatever it's worth, I have a Cyclone Plus dual plane manifold and a Holley Street Avenger 770 cfm carb.  They fit fine under the stock hood of my '80 and look pretty good, too.
