I just looked at the article again and I see that it is your car in the article. Excellent. One thing, when I finished the article, I always expect it to say that the project turned out great and is a great plus. It seems they cut you off after step 40.

About the pics, I was just curious as to what the engine compartment looks like with the vac lines removed.

Cut off, well I guess thats a nice way to put it. Most magazines will only give so much space and sometimes after they receive a story they need to cut out or limit the content, hitting the highlights. I alway provide them more info then they will ever publish. So my stories tend to get creatively edited. Thats fine as the editors of the magazines will tell you were writing an editorial tech piece not a step by step instruction sheet. The stories are designed to give good info and if they like the product and decide to install it then it gives them tips and info to go inconjunction with the product.

As far as the look of the engine compartment, well thats hard to say at moment. That story was written right at 5 months ago and is just now running. Since then I have removed everything out of the engine bay. anything that can get cleaned, painted or coated is out.

Now before i removed everything It was super clean as you can imagine vacuum hoses are not the prettiest thing on any car. So getting rid of 3 major vacuum lines and all the mess up front and replacing it with a single wire loomed harness, no comparison what looks better.

I should have probably taken a shot of everything that got eliminated in a big pile that would have probably gotten the point across, but if didn't know diddly about C3's you wouldn't know the headlight motors were never a factory install.

Maybe oneday we will run into each other, as I would like to see the conversion. I have been thinking of removing one of the control relays on mine and just using one. This way I could eliminate one, the red, main vacuum line going to the front.

Well I live in portland, TN and Kingston really isn't that far away. Right now I have my c3 in several pieces, but I hope to have it all back together by spring. Maybe then we can get together and you can see everything. If your in the area I would be more then happy to show you the install, Although I would rather wait. With the engine out I'm also addressing the AC system and Cooling items therefore the interior is out and its not a pleasant site to see.

I've come to the conclusion the longer I own it the more I tend to take it appart. This year I plan to complete everything. |blinkyeyes| I hope!.

Vette(s): Just finished 2 years of Blood, Sweat, & Tears restoring my 69 Coupe. Crimsom Red, 427, vacuum removed, Shot of Steeroids, Killer Lights, 5 Speed, still working on small things but she is back on the road.
I have my first light modified from vacuum to electric. What a clean look. I posted a few pictures for those who want to take a look. You can see the difference taking exception to the dirt , grease and over spray but just the clean look. After Shark thanks for the help.
